Are you serious? The Bulls would be so much better than the Cavs it is not even funny (and this is coming from someone that doesn't like the Bulls or the Cavs).

Even if they had to trade Deng, Gordon, Thomas, and a first rounder (which would be quite a bit, IMO), they could still easily have a starting line-up of:

PG: Hinrich
SG: Bryant
SF: Nocioni (*if re-signed... like I said, I am an outside observer, so I have no idea what the likelyhood of him being re-signed is)
PF: .... anyone (you could throw a F/C like PJ Brown out there and this team would still stomp the Cavs)
C: Ben Wallace

You really think that line-up is just a little bit better than the Cavs line-up? (the Bulls bench, although depleted by a trade, would still be better than the Cavs as well).

Like I said, I am an outside observer, but I think that line-up is A LOT better than the Cav's, and would thrust them to the top of the Eastern Conference.

There is no way that the Bulls could get Kobe and Randolph. And they'd effectively gut the team to get Kobe, ending up with a little bit better version of this year's Cavs. As we just saw, that team can't compete for a title either. I'd be much more interested in adding a Randolph type player and developing whoever is the ninth pick.

could not have said it better myself. ideally i'd like them to try and find a way to keep 2 of the 3 you mentioned but clearly hinrich has to be one of them. the bulls have to pull the trigger on this though.
